On behalf of Election Commission of Bhutan, H.E. Major General Vetsop Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to India accepted FEMBoSA Logo from Shri Sushil Chandra for Election Commission of Bhutan assuming the role of new Chair of FEMBoSA 2021-22

    The seventh meeting of Forum of Election Management Bodies of South Asia (FEMBoSA) was held from 02-04 August 2016 at Bandos Island Resort, Maldives. Member countries of the forum; Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka participated in the meeting. As decided on the previous FEMBoSA meeting, the theme for this year’s forum was “Technology for Credible Elections”.

    The Sixth meeting of FEMBoSA was held on 1st and 2nd October 2015 at Hotel Galadari, Colombo, Sri Lanka with the participation of Eight Member Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) of South Asia.  In accordance with the decision taken at the Fifth meeting, the Commissioner of Elections, Sri Lanka organized this meeting with the theme ‘Autonomy and Independence of EMBs’.

    The fifth meeting of the Forum of Election Management Bodies of South Asia (FEMBoSA) took place from 29 to 30 November, 2014, in Kathmandu on the theme of “Campaign Finance”. The Election Commission, Nepal (ECN) takes immense pleasure from the opportunity to host the meeting in Nepal.
